A Party For All Women

Aug. 20--SHE Presents: A Very SHE Birthday

clock August 6, 2010 08:07 by author lilithvf1998

This month, SHE is one year old and we couldn't be happier! It's one of those milestones that every parent is proud of, and we're no different. You see, most infants are crawling, some may be learning to stand, but not SHE. No, ma'am, this baby learned to run right out of the gate and SHE hasn't stopped to slow down since. In honor of this occasion, we're throwing a party and the women of the CSPC are invited!

SHE Presents: A Very SHE Birthday
Friday, August 20, 2010 -- CSPC Annex

Please join us for SHE's first birthday party! We'll have spice cake with a delectable sugar frosting that's worth licking off--and a contest to see who’s the best frosting licker! There will be prizes yet to be determined, but they are guaranteed to be sexy! So get your tongues ready and show our judges your stuff!

Plus, SHE will host a white elephant gift exchange, so please bring a small gift and join the fun! If you have never been involved in a white elephant gift exchange, you are in for a treat!

White Elephant Gift Exchange Rules:

  1. The gift exchange starts promptly at 8:30 pm.
  2. If you wish to participate, bring a gently used, wrapped, unmarked gift. If you must purchase a gift, please keep the value of the gift under $10. These will be placed in a collective pile
  3. The participants will draw numbers from a hat at the beginning of the gift exchange.
  4. The person with the lowest number selects the first present from the pile and unwraps it.
  5. The next person in numeric order can either pick a present from the pile or steal the present of any person before her.
  6. The person whose gift has been stolen can either select a replacement present from the pile or steal a present from someone else
  7. A present may only be stolen once per round. Once a present has been stolen three times, it cannot be stolen again.
  8. Repeat steps 4 to 6 until everyone has a present.
  9. The person who drew the lowest number now has the option to steal any present that hasn’t been stolen three times, in exchange for the present she has at the time.

New Sidebar Entry: Other Events SHE Endorses

clock May 25, 2010 06:02 by author lilithvf1998

While we know that SHE partygoers are quite attached to our humble little party, we also know that you can't always make SHE, or that you may want to expand your horizons by meeting up with similar-minded women outside of SHE. Or perhaps you're interested in conferences that mesh nicely with the SHE attendees' needs.

For that reason, there is now a section of our blog sidebar for Other Events SHE Endorses. These include other play parties, social gatherings, and conferences, and will be updated as we find more events you might want to check out. Plus, you might meet someone new and bring them to SHE some time...!

Feel free to contact us if you know of an event that should belong here!

The Best Testimonial Yet

clock May 24, 2010 22:08 by author lilithvf1998

We who organize and run the SHE parties have always been happy to hear our attendees commenting on the wonderful time they had, or how much they love the party in general. But we recently received what I consider to be the best testimonial I've yet seen for SHE:

As a visitor to Seattle who's never been to CPSC, SHE, or even Seattle itself, I wanted to say I had a great time at the party. I really enjoyed the socialising which I've not experienced at play parties elsewhere. As someone who knew almost no one there, it really made me feel much more comfortable about being there, going topless (I really was much too warm, honestly), and being noisy in a scene. ahem

That sums things up very nicely indeed! It hasn't been explicit to date, but the friendliness of our party is one of the reasons why SHE has been so successful. The woman who wrote the above is shy and had concerns that she wouldn't know anyone, let alone find someone to play with. Thanks to the atmosphere we've cultivated by being so social, we've made it easier for her--and many others!--to explore and embrace their sexuality, and that's a wonderful gift. We're honored to be able to provide this and hope you are eager to join us if you never have before!

(And yes, as a footnote, it was a bit warm last time. Not that we'd turn up the heat to encourage people to disrobe or anything like that.... ahem Wink)

This Friday: Roll Your Own--D.Y.I. B.D.S.M.

clock March 15, 2010 06:00 by author lilithvf1998

In the past several months the SHE Team have heard a sad, common refrain: "I really want more toys but I'm on a budget!" We feel your pain. Which is why, in honor of Washington State Leather Pride Week...

SHE Presents: Roll Your Own--D.Y.I. B.D.S.M.
Friday, March 19, 2010
CSPC Annex

Come join us during our social hour for a show-and-tell discussion on pervertables--common, everyday objects readily converted to kinky uses! Bring your favorite pervertable and tell us why you picked it out! We'll also discuss things to look for in general when buying pervertables.

Then, at the beginning of the party, watch a demo and mini workshop on making keychain floggers--they're easy, fast, fun-to-make, and you can make it exactly the way you want! Bring some rope, cord, tubing, ribbon--the sky's the limit! Then stick around while we try out our creations and pervertables on one another!

PLUS: In honor of Washington State Leather Pride Week, this month's SHE party will be open to non-CSPC-members, without the requirement that they be sponsored by a member. Contact she@sexpositiveculture.org for a Guest Consent Form. Bring it to the party with you and you will be allowed entrance without CSPC membership or sponsorship.

This promises to be an extremely fun night, so we hope to see you there!

This Friday: Fevers and Chills to Cure Your Ills!

clock January 12, 2010 22:26 by author lilithvf1998

It's only a few days until the next SHE party, and our Fire And Ice theme is coming along nicely. Our demonstrators--tops and bottoms--are getting ready to show you the ins and outs of fire play, ice play, and wax play, and then to happily dispense tastings to the curious! We're all set to take advantage of the RAW Space for edgier impact play--but of course we wouldn't be SHE if there wasn't ample space for snuggling and... other things... in the Annex proper!

We're also excited about having a New Member Orientation just before SHE! So if you have been putting off membership at CSPC, Friday night would be a wonderful time to join in the fun, ladies!

And remember--get there before 10 PM and get $5 off admission!

Looking forward to seeing all of you there!

As Winter sets in, some of us like to kick the heat up a notch--while others delight in the bracing bite of the cold.

What's your pleasure--sizzle, or shivers?

What's your mood--chill, or sultry?

Either way, SHE is always happy to oblige!

SHE Presents: Fire And Ice -- A Tribute To Extremes

Witness demos of fire play, ice play, and wax play for the first hour--and get in line for tastings!

Then join us for a hot time that's sure to give you goosebumps! SHE now has access to the RAW Space--a nippy place perfect for extra hotness! Or if friction is your preference, we've got ample space in the Annex to rub some warmth into your bones--and then some!

And don't forget! SHE will be hosting a New Member Orientation at 7:30! If you've ever wanted to become a member of the Center for Sex-Positive Culture, now would be an excellent time to do so!
